Plan Your Visit

The Moonlight Amphitheatre is your North County entertainment destination!

The Moonlight is a casual, outdoor amphitheater that accomodates 1,800-2,000 patrons. We're a family-friendly space with lawn seats and great picnic opportunities, as well as hard-backed seats for those who want to sit closer to the stage.

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the venue! If you would like to purchase food at the Moonlight, order light fare on the Moonlight Patio. There are also concession stands and bars that operate during Moonlight events.

Parking is free at the amphitheater! Once you enter Brengle Terrace Park, follow the posted signs to locate parking. The parking lot can become full during peak times or major events; we strongly encourage patrons to arrive at least 45 minutes to one hour before showtime to secure parking, access the amphitheatre, enjoy our audience amenities, and find your seats.

Pets are not allowed inside the venue, but service animals with proper certification are welcome! The Moonlight is ADA compliant and we have assisted listening devices available.

Moonlight's gates generally open an hour and a half before showtime. The Moonlight strives to provide a safe experience for all patrons so all bags will be searched prior to entry. There is no limit on bag size. Once inside, patrons will be expected to follow venue policies and staff instructions.

How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets for all concerts and musicals online, or in-person and over the phone through our box office, VisTix. We do not accept any tickets from outside, third-party vendors.

I can no longer attend the event, can I get a refund?
Ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Season subscribers may exchange their tickets at least 48 hours before the show date for an alternate performance of the same show for no additional charge. Single-ticket buyers may exchange tickets for another night with a $10 fee per transaction.

What kinds of seats are at the Moonlight?
The Moonlight Amphitheatre has two types of seating, lawn and reserved, with different sections depending on type of seat.

Lawn Seating:
Lawn seating is available in the grassy areas within the amphitheater as well as on the Great Lawn. This seat type is perfect for picnicking or families who may need a bit more space. Leave the lawn chairs at home, one will be provided with your ticket!

Reserved Seats:
Reserved seats are traditional, stadium-style seats. There are three sections: orchestra, reserved, and fringe. You’re welcome to bring seat cushions and blankets, as long as they do not obstruct the view of those around you!

What if it rains?
Performances go on rain or shine. We rarely cancel a performance due to rain. Only in the instance of danger to audiences and our artists do we alter our performance schedule, and we will do our best to give advanced notice.

Can I bring food and drinks into the Moonlight?
You may bring food and nonalcoholic beverages inside the Moonlight! You can also purchase food and drinks once you arrive at. A variety of wines, beers, and seltzers are available for purchase inside the venue.

Where can I picnic?
Guests can picnic on the Great Lawn or at a picnic table inside the amphitheater once the gates are open. You may also picnic outside of the amphitheater in Brengle Terrace Park at a table or in one of the many grassy areas.

Please note that besides the Great Lawn, all lower lawn areas in the amphitheater are assigned with a reserved lawn section ticket. If you are sitting in a reserved seat row, the lawn space in front of you is part of our reserved lawn section and you are not entitled to that patch of grass.

Where can I purchase food and drinks?
Purchase light fare, and alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages on the Moonlight Patio. There are also concession stands in the Amphitheatre.

Are children welcome? Do they need their own ticket?
Children are welcome! We love to see families gathering and enjoying themselves at The Moonlight. We provide content advisories for each of our musicals, but we encourage parents to take an additional step and do their own research to determine if their children should attend. Children three years and older are required to have a ticket.

What's the parking situation?
Free parking is available adjacent to the amphitheater within Brengle Terrace Park. Look for directional signs as you drive into the park to find the correct lot. The parking lot can become full during peak times or major events; we strongly encourage all attendees to arrive at least one-half hour prior to curtain to secure parking.
