Get ready to experience musical theatre in New York City!

Week One: November 4-8, 2026
Week Two: November 10-14, 2026

Registration Opens April 1, 2026

Join us this fall for our 12th annual Moonlight Takes Manhattan trip! Explore New York City alongside fellow theatre lovers, take in the magic of Broadway, and watch the city transform from crisp fall days to sparkling holiday nights — all while supporting the Moonlight Cultural Foundation.

Each semi-guided tour is five days and four nights. Cost includes coach flights, hotel (double room occupancy), four Broadway shows, four dinners, an optional behind-the-scenes theatre tour, and transportation to and from John F. Kennedy International Airport. Travelers will be expected to navigate airports and the vicinity of the hotel, as well as communicate via text message with group leaders.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How much does it cost to attend Moonlight Takes Manhattan?
$3,600 per person for one week (assumes double occupancy, additional room charges are required for single occupancy).

What does the per person rate include?
The rate includes 4 nights at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, a round-trip base fare coach flight, transportation to/from JFK airport, 4 dinners, a lunch, and 4 Broadway shows!

Can I upgrade my flight?
All flight upgrades are the responsibility of the traveler themselves. If you decide to book your own travel in order to upgrade, a flight credit will be reduced from your cost to MCF.

Can I extend my trip?
If you choose to extend your trip to New York, you are responsible for arranging your own airfare. We are happy to add additional days to your hotel stay, subject to approval by the Marriott Marquis. Travelers are responsible for additional room charges.

What Broadway shows will we see?
Shows are selected closer to the travel dates and are subject to change depending on availability. We often see the newest shows available! Past shows include Just in Time, Chess, Maybe Happy Ending, The Great Gatsby, Hell’s Kitchen, Water for Elephants, The Notebook, Back to the Future, Tootsie, Moulin Rouge, and more.

Please note that many Broadway theatres are historic venues and may require climbing stairs or navigating narrow aisles.

What makes this trip special?
The MCF team brings extensive theatre expertise and takes care of all the booking and planning for you. We stay in a centrally located hotel with easy access to theatres, restaurants, and iconic New York attractions — so the only thing you need to decide is how to spend your free time!

How do I secure my spot?
A $500 deposit is required to secure your spot. Please note that spots are limited, and deposits are non-refundable (no exceptions). If you secure your spot and are unable to join us come November, your deposit will be considered a tax-deductible donation to the Foundation (a tax acknowledgement letter will be provided).

We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance. Once amenities have been booked, the Foundation is unable to recover those funds. Please note that MCF does not provide trip insurance, so coverage will need to be arranged independently.

What are the payment deadlines?
You will be invoiced for 50% of the total trip cost, due on Monday, May 4, 2026. Final payment is due on Friday, August 14th, 2026.

Are there any other attendee requirements?
Attendees must be able to walk 8-10 New York City blocks and climb up to two flights of stairs without staff assistance. If they cannot, they will be responsible for transportation to and from group activities. Cab and pedi-cab fares are not covered by MCF.

Is the trip tax deductible?
A portion of the trip is tax-deductible! Related tax documents are available by request.

Please note: All proceeds from Moonlight Takes Manhattan support programming by Moonlight Stage Productions.

Having lived in NYC for 10 years, I at first resisted the idea of visiting the big Apple with a group. I felt like a native New Yorker and certainly didn’t need a tour! WOW….was I wrong… I wish I had gone earlier. One of the best experiences and a trip I look forward to every year! The group is all like minded in their passion and love of theater. You get such a bang for your buck! I highly recommend this trip.” -Robin M.

This will be my fifth time with Moonlight Takes Manhattan. It’s so nice to have someone else do the planning. All I need to decide is what to pack. The accommodations are comfortable and the shows are great. The camaraderie that develops with the other  travelers will last you a lifetime.” -Linda K.

I have gone the last several years with each trip being awesome! MCF staff do an amazing job planning, they are flexible and are always available if you have questions or need assistance with anything. Having friendly and energetic travelers adds to the fun! There is free time to be by yourself or go to destinations with people you just met! Dinner as a group before each show is always a highlight of the trip.” -Maureen O.
